Creepy

Loaded Curry Potato Skins

Bake them in foil. Cut em in half. Scoop em out. Mix with sea salt, finely sliced green onions, shredded carrots, ground white pepper, cream cheese, table spoon of margarine, and at last, two table spoons of yellow curry powder (for four large potato’s). Whip it all together. Fill up the halves. Shred aged cheddar (preferably 4 years) and put them back in the oven until the top is a nice crispy golden brown.

Another notebook bites the dust.

Inside joke between customers. It was raining inside the Wellington for a good two weeks. I had my Hunter’s out but I left every shift soaked. This is what they came up with so we framed it.

Robbie & Lenea

Mom’s birthday

Mmmmm. The best cookies ever. After I inhaled the whole box, I went to look for some more to make Candy Cane Oreo cupcakes. From Stoney Creek to Oakville, all the Fortino’s were sold out of these things. Bummer.

Obsession

Not a fan of vodka, but I couldn’t resist the artwork.

From DVF to H&M

New additions to my shoe family.

I’ve had my eye on these black Jeffrey Campbell Lita distressed leather booties for six months. After endless waiting lists in small boutiques across Toronto, I found the last pair of size 5’s in Nordstrom’s in Fashion Show Mall, Las Vegas. I’m a size 6, sometimes 6 1/2. I bought them because in my mind I justified the purchase just like any girl buying a pair of shoes they probably shouldn’t be. I wore them that same night with confidence to a show at the House of Blues. Within hours my feet were in unbearable pain and instead of cursing the shoes, I held on to the fact that ‘yes! I finally found them and at half price, and they were the last ones. It was meant to be!’. Fuck! I’m all for comfort but when it comes to something I’m fixated on comfort and rationality fly out the window. I went home, stretched them out and now I rock them everyday with almost every outfit.

Value Village. Bought for $3, repaired for $4.

I try to stay away from ALDO simply because I don’t like seeing my shoes on other people’s feet. But I always find myself perusing the sale section when I do go to the mall. I couldn’t resist these. They reminded me of the 90’s but modified and actually cool, which I see a lot of in Jeffrey Campbell’s designs. And you can’t go wrong with wedges, especially if you’re really short and are looking for that height on a daily basis. Foot support and fashion in one.

My U.S.A fund….it’s alive!!!!
